ABOUT ME

I use an integrative approach to therapy; focusing on attachment and systems-based modalities in tandem with Dialectical Behavior Therapy to help clients heal from trauma, build and maintain meaningful relationships, and explore more about themselves. Additionally, I offer ERP (exposure and response prevention therapy) for the treatment of OCD and other anxiety disorders. ERP involves gradual exposure to OCD triggers in a supportive environment, combined with learning healthier ways to respond to these triggers. My work is informed by critical feminist, queer, and race theory. I work with a large range of clients and I have particular expertise in working with borderline personality disorder, anxiety, depression, self esteem issues, relationship difficulty, and traumatic experiences. I am passionate about working with the LGBTQIA+ community and am trained in queer affirmative therapy.

I believe that the society we live in has a significant impact on our thoughts, behaviors, and emotions. The norms, values, and expectations of our world can create limitations and barriers that keep us from living our lives to the fullest. Often, we may feel trapped or confined by the constraints of society and struggle to break free from the box we have been put in. I aim to help individuals recognize and understand the ways in which societal influences have affected their thinking and behavior. By exploring these influences, we can begin to challenge and deconstruct the limiting beliefs and patterns that have kept us stuck. I believe that developing a critical awareness of how these forces operate can help individuals find greater freedom and authenticity in their lives.

As a child and young adult, I suffered from anxiety which was closely linked to my identity formation. Through my own therapy, I was able to unlearn and continue to unlearn behaviors and beliefs that I had about myself and the world. I want to be able to help support my clients to do the same.

I completed my master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in LGBTQIA+ studies at Antioch University Los Angeles. I had the opportunity to complete my traineeship at COLORS counseling center providing care and resources to the Queer population ages 13-25. I currently see clients virtually as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in West Hollywood. I am able to service all of California including Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Los Feliz, Silverlake, Mid-Wilshire, Northern California, and more.
